We got VIN 187XXX, build 04.30 ordered March 22, delivery May 27-30!
Schaumburg SC.
David was right, car was at lot when I talk to him first time. I took a picture of window sticker with VIN.

@Anndybo I’m rooting for you. If they built yours, they built mine! Pulling for team midwest here. I just called my SC and they said my car was produced and is currently on a train towards Chicago. Should expect it later next week. They cannot see the VIN at this time. Online says "5-9 weeks...

The order site is incredibly more stable than it has been in recent weeks. So which one of you with a VIN was crashing the site?

It won't apply to Tesla however, as they are not unionized.

If I read the full text correctly, it will still apply just a lower amount for non unionized production.

Anyone recently install a NEMA outlet at home for charging? If so, how much did you pay for parts + labor to your electrician?

I had it done a few weeks back, had it installed right next to my breaker box and cost me $676.35.

Does not show for me. I only have the order agreement listed there. No lemon law, no MVPA.

Definitely reach out via chat or call your SA or the local service center. You should have it with your VIN.

I think there is a lot to be settled before this gets even close to passing, but the current read I have is that these additional amounts of $10k and $12.5k would start in 2022 (as well as becoming refundable credits), but lifting the per manufacturer limits would happen this year, specifically:

"The elimination of the per-manufacturer-cap is effective for vehicles sold after May 24, 2021"

So maybe the radar delete delays have a curious coincidence with cars being delivered after 5/24 and being eligible for a credit ?!??!

If the bill passed in the current form, we would get a $7500 credit now. Or wait until Jan 22 to get the new higher refundable amounts.

"The elimination of the per-manufacturer-cap is effective for vehicles sold after May 24, 2021. The portions of the proposal making the EV credit a refundable personal income tax credit along with the VIN requirement are effective for vehicles acquired after December 31, 2021. The EV credit phase-out rule is effective on the date of enactment."

From this portion of the changes to the bill it seems as if the $7,500 non-refundable tax credit will go into effect once signed into law for Teslas under $80,000 sold after May 24, 2021! What changes on Jan 1, 2022 is the increase to $10,000 ($12,500 for union made vehicles) and it will be a refundable tax credit.

Therefore, if you owe more than $7,500 in federal taxes in 2021, then taking delivery this year may still get you the original EV tax credit. This is huge news! Of course, it still needs to be passed.

I want to believe in that May 24, 2021 date for obvious reasons. But objectively, that could just be the placeholder for the date the bill is actually enacted.

No way to know for sure yet, but I can hope!

I paid $380 for everything here in San Antonio. The plug was put in probably less than 10 feet away from the breaker box, so maybe on the cheaper side but idk.

Close to $2K for a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Had to trench 100 feet through my front yard under a path and driveway to reach the garage.

Ordered 5/13. Still no VIN but I now have a delivery date range for the first time June 13 - June 30 up till now I was just seeing 5 - 11 weeks.

I think autopilot won’t be enabled at first. Tesla said they’ll push an update in the coming weeks to activate it

I feel like my order got lost in their systems, I keep seeing 3-7 weeks date range for almost 4 weeks now, really annoying.
