I wish I could complain about slipping EDDs but its been 2 weeks and my order page still shows no date estimate at all...

Here are a couple of pics.
Image 1: Car looks cool. I had rented a nissan armada and also drove my brothers Audi Q7 just a few days back. After that the model y seems smaller. Definitely bigger than my cx5.
Image 2: There is a gap in the passenger seat and it's black plastic back. It is quite noticeable and I was able to insert 3 fingers in it.
Image 3, 4, 5: The alignment is not perfect and gaps are bigger than expected. Do I need to be worried about these?
Image 6: There was water in the tail light.

The black roof is a dust magnet. It came clean and within a few hours I could see a layer of dust already. Car is parked in a gated garage but there is ventilation window right in front of the car, probably that's why.

I kept an amazon box in the trunk and I was able to easily see inside through the rear glass. Can someone please recommend a trunk cover or something to keep my stuff safe.

I haven't done a full inspection yet as today was really tiring. Hopefully I will be able to do it tomorrow morning.

Picture time again. Minor imperfections(except the car seat thing) in an almost perfect car. I'm probably nitpicking but I'd still check if they can take care of these.
Image 1: Seat belt doesn't stay in position on rear seats. Older car had a hook on the seat to keep the seat belts from falling behind
Image 2: Another pic of the gap in the seat and seat back
Image 3,4 : Sticky tape below the roof. It goes all the way in so I would rather have them take care of this. Don't want to take this lightly and have the roof fly off on the freeway :)
Image 5: Trim between doors is not perfect. Just a minor thing.
Image 6: Gap between plastic panels near passenger door. Exactly the same on the drivers side as well.

Interesting call we got on the 29th. "We have your exact configuration at a local SC" so I'm like great!, "so it's gonna be the price we ordered right?" And she's like no, it's gonna be the current price on the website. Hmm, red flag, what doesn't add up here if it's the exact config? So I'm like it's supposed to be the same price if it's the exact config, she says it's not a new car. Another red flag, what do you mean it's not a new car? Oh, it's what we call a Demo LOL She wanted to sell me a demo w/ 1000 miles for the current price of a new car! Unreal. Oh and she wanted us to take delivery "tomorrow" which would have been the 30th, the last day of the quarter..

Sometimes this all seems like waiting on a really long line at Disney to see Space Mountain. The difference is that with Tesla, they periodically pull you out of the line and put you at the end, then a bit later they bring you up close enough that you can see the cars, only to have a big group let in ahead of you.
When you tell your friends and family all this, they tell you they wouldn’t stand for that and you should leave and go to Universal, “it’s almost as good.”
You keep telling them that you came all this way to see Space Mountain and you are staying on line!!
Some day I’ll be on the best ride of my life!!
That is such a great analogy!!

For the people who chose to finance between 48-72 months, are you planning on upgrading the car prior to the loan end date ?
only reason i ask this is because the software in 2026 on this current hardware = slow and laggy UI like the X and S before it.
My credit union does a 92 month loan. For me I’m just doing a payment a can comfortably afford. Trading In or upgrading is always an option if my finances can afford it. Even though I’m going to do the 92 month one it’ll be paid off well before that. I’d rather have a lower payment and choose pay more when I want to vs having a high monthly payment minimum
