this is what I get for fat fingering yet another 0 in something (previously was my cell phone) via my phone, I look like an idiot. Yes its only 50 you are correct
lol no worries, I think tesla needs to discount these demo's a little more but somebody seems to buy them so maybe not. Either way, thats a lot of abuse I wouldn't want on my "new to me" car.

I don’t understand how anyone on the phone can tell you about a hard manufacture date. Unless you are yanking our chains here…. My order has been “in queue“ since May and no one in Tesla can tell me if I will receive a Vin before the end of the quarter. I hear that I will get my car in September but those statements or caveated to death.

I hope for your sake that you are correct and that you can have your car within a definitive, manageable period Of time.
I wouldn't do that on here. He was a nice guy and seemed trustworthy. He was genuinely excited for me. He told me he also drove a Tesla and it's worth the wait.
They told you that your car will be manufactured on 13 December 2021? Did they give you the time of manufacture and the name of the assembly line foreman that will oversee your build? How about the foreman's dinner plans for that evening after he/she oversees your build?

No promises, of course.
You really need to relax.

I notice everyone posts their specific VIN ending numbers when they get it. Does it signify anything specific? Mine is 260xxx????
Yup, like @te$laWhy said, it's just for folks to crowd-source datapoints on VIN assignment date and VIN range. To give the rest of us an idea on what's "new" VIN and what's a VIN from another existing order that fell through.

It's not super important right now - just something fun to track. What's more important is when Tesla does their next "refresh" to add (or remove) features. For instance, tracking VINS became really important when Tesla took away radar, passenger lumbar adjustment, added bioweapon HEPA, upgraded battery to 82kWh, updated window washers nozzles, new taillight assembly, etc. so people can provide datapoints on which VINs had certain features.

Now, if Tesla just gave people more communication on what features they'd be receiving, what VIN they'd be getting, ahead of time, this would prove wholly unnecessary. But until then, we have fun in this community sharing knowledge while Tesla randomly changes the spec of your car order every couple months.

PS: add order tails to signature! Congrats on your VIN!

THE VIN God's have SPOKEN!!! (VIN#256XXX) HOLY SH*T.... I Switched to a MYP YESTERDAY after being bumped to January for my MYLR order. I was just assigned a VIN about an hour ago. I guess they really do prioritize the Performance Model. I accepted the order and the estimated delivery is 09/4 to 9/10. So friggin excited!!!
What the heck!? I swapped mine to MYP last week and only have the generic (4-5 weeks) message *facepalm*

Side note, the Honda Fit that we sold to be replaced by the Model Y was in both my and my husband's name for the loan and the registration, I put in the registration for the Y to be in both of our names as well. My question is, is there any benefit for the financing to be in both of our name vs. only mine?

So can someone tell me if my profile is complete, or if I have more work to do? I now have a SA telling me that I need to get them a finalized loan agreement to complete my profile. I thought I chose cash payment, and to me, that’s what it looks like. This is the first time I’ve chatted with him since the day I test drove a car and suddenly he’s texting me asking for a loan agreement. I’ve asked my loan officer for a finalized loan agreement, but she says she needs a MVPA in order to finalize it. But I thought I needed a VIN before I can get a MVPA. I just don’t think that the advisers they provide are very good at their job… very conflicting information we seem to be getting. Until this morning, I thought I was just waiting on a VIN to be assigned. Now I’m getting nervous about my account profile.

Does anyone know what happens after the VIN is issued? I uploaded the proof of insurance and it says that the agreement and payment info will be sent to me a

No clue on the loan difference with or without your partner. I guess it would be good for both of your credit to be on the note. I had the 4-5 weeks all day yesterday and today, up until 12 noon. I guess I got lucky, I'll take it! Keep your head up, the MYP's are moving to people quickly. You should get a VIN soon.

Looks complete to me, I would ask him if he meant to ask somebody else since you are under the cash payment option.

Curious what information do you need to provide before Tesla will give an delivery timeframe?

My sister ordered a couple months back, but hasnt put in her delivery location. She lives in Little Rock and the site is giving her 2 Missouri locations for pickup. She would want to pickup by us in Chicago or my son in Austin (Can you pickup in Texas if all paperwork was done remotely). No way on the website to indicate that. Really depends on when it would be ready.
