I read the first page, and the last few pages of the thread, and my understanding is that the VIN numbers went something like
S01199
S01200
P01201
P01202
and so on.
Am I correct? Or did the first P have a VIN like P00001?
Thanks
US signatures got S00001 to about S01150
Production cars started with P01200, but the first 60 or so cars were marketing cars, so customer production cars start at about P01260 or so.
They go up to P01999, then there is a break for the canadian sigs
Canadian sigs are S02000 to about S02150
US production resume at about P02200 or so and continue on up (above P03000 currently).
Immediately above this post is napabill, P83.
Elaborate?digit 12 on the first post needs an update for 2013.
Elaborate?
But the model year is digit 10, not 12.I think he just meant that doug, who wrote the first post, needs to add "D = 2013" as well to the key for that year digit.
Got my VIN on Friday. Got a delivery window of 1/31-2/14.
P85kwh non-perf with everything except twin chargers, shield and HPWC.
Saw the link to this thread from the Tesla forums yesterday. Why is my 8th digit a "G". Isn't it supposed to be an "N" for the 85kwh battery?
VIN: 5YJSA1CG6DFP03744
Now I'm concerned that they screwed up my config.
On the loaner I drove yesterday, no.Do the P85+ cars have anything in the VIN to distinguish the + from regular P85?
5YJSA2CP6DFP11526There doesn't seem to be anything in the VIN to distinguish euro-spec cars
