@maximus96 How did you contact service? The only way I can find is through the app, but I want these issues dealt with ASAP since they involve paint. Hopefully they resolved your issues.

I will post more pics and thoughts later.

I had to go thru the app. Initially I scheduled for mobile service. the next day they called me and asked me to take it in. The appointment was about 1.5 week from after I picked up the car.

when I was at the Dublin service center, I see them delivering Ys there. Had I known what I know now, I would have refused going to a contactless pick up. I'm sure things would be better if you can speak to someone and get things documented immediately.

I picked up my Model Y PUP white on white yesterday evening at the Factory. It's a very smooth process. Overall, the car's fit and finish is acceptable and it is so fun to drive. As long as service can fix my issue, I will be very happy.

Since I picked it up at the Factory without being able to talk to anyone, who should I talk to about fixing issues found during delivery? I feel like these should be addressed quickly by a person and not handled through the app. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

When did you order?

That my exact configuration, 15 mins away from the factory.

@M3P-Racer I ordered on 2/10/2020.

Overall, I am happy with the fit and finish of the car if they can just fix these issues. They are doing more alignment checks because my read hatch is perfect, but there are paint scratches around the hinges from adjusting. Service will need to touch those up to prevent rusting.

I just logged a service request through the app. Mobile service scheduled for Monday. I am going to keep calling numbers until I can speak with a human.

I found out you can speak to someone if you chose the option that your car is currently in the service bay. Otherwise its all automatic and eventually hangs up on your if you try to press 0 too much.

I am also dropping

I am also going to the Dublin service center today to drop off the car. Surprise surprise, there are no loaners available. It was a pain to see the "estimated quote" for the service requested. They said they are going to take until monday to complete the job, so 5 days without a car. Was offered Uber credits but with a kid in a car seat and a time where who knows how clean those uber's are... Basically trapped.

First Tesla owner and so far, not enjoying the experience. Lexus/Toyota > Tesla

At this point, you will have to set up a service appointment via the app. The process is relatively simple, and you should receive an automated response with an appointment time (which you can change if you'd like). I think the service location is at the Fremont delivery hub. When dropping off, you will either get a Model S loaner or Uber credits.

I did request service through the app and was giving a mobile service time for Monday. Then a few hours later, I received a text message from the scheduling group saying that I would need to bring it into a service center (Dublin) because of the issues I reported. So now I'm bringing it there on Tuesday. The person who scheduled my service center appointment was very helpful. So just filling out the mobile app form worked in my case. She even kept my mobile service appointment so I could get my Homelink module installed and set up at my house.

I'm going to wash it tonight for the first time and see if any other issues come up. Overall, it's a great car.

Awesome! Glad for everyone that already have taken delivery.

I order 1/29/20 W/W PUP FSD still no VIN. Sold my M3P last week and I’m getting a little desperate.

Were you given a loaner when you dropped off your car for service? I dropped off yesterday and they didn't have any loaners available and was only given Uber credits. I guess there arn't a lot of drivers around here right now. When I tried to use Uber, it was a 45 mins wait.. I asked my service advisor if he could do anything for me, i'll take any kind of rental even a non-tesla. I'm pretty desperate now. The expected completion date is Monday.

I really hope everything is smooth sailing after they hopefully fix my car. I honestly doubt they're going to fix anything though..

I live in the Bay Area, and Uber is always there within 5-10 mins, max., even in these pandemic times.

they gave me a Model S from enterprise. looks like it depends on the service rep. I just posted an updated to my issues...bottom line is not so good
"Express Pick Up" at Fremont last Saturday - laundry list of issues

Here's a pic from my Tesla, is it really made in the USA?
Picked up 2 wks ago, and been sitting in the shop 1 week already. Tesla really needs to get their acts together!
notice the color of the bumper and the pointy corner where the bumper meets the body?

This is why I finally released my VIN when they told me at least the rear hatch was going to be entirely repainted, and they were doing it in-house at Rockville Tesla. Are you going to reject and have them re-paint, or reject the VIN entirely?

It seems Tesla wants issues reported and resolved after delivery - which means trusting this will happen. My Model Y has a small scratch low on the front bumper- probably from a strap used to secure the car during transport to San Francisco. I didn’t receive any written document that this had been noticed. As requested I scheduled repair on the App and also requested Home Link purchase and install for that same appointment. I received an email stating replacement bumper had arrived at service center, but no mention of Home Link part.

Finally talked to a service rep by clicking “2- ”I have a car in service” and the service tech said “Yes, I can see the bumper and Home Link device here, ready for your appointment”. Had Tesla included this part on their email and I’d know not to worry.
I told him, “It seems your service prep is GREAT - too bad this doesn’t get communicated.”

For anyone wanting Home Link - you do NOT have to order the part first for Model Y - if new owner repair work is scheduled.

Disappointing that a 35k Toyota will not have the same issues.

TL;DR; I will never buy a Toyota again due to past issues.

No, they just have other issues. Back when they first came out I special ordered a Scion tC. I specified all the options I wanted including color, no cd changer, and no dealer crap stuck to the car. When I got to the dealer for pickup it was 1) the wrong color, 2) had a 6-CD changer installed, and 3) had dealer crap adhered to the rear. They outright refused to make it right stating that they could reorder my car. They claimed that Toyota had installed the CD changer at the dock and that I had to pay for it or refuse delivery.

The car had other serious issues. The first time I had to hit the brakes hard the ABS almost sent the car sideways during a straight stop. The ABS was applying the brakes unevenly between the two sides. It remained an issue throughout the time I had the car. There were also panel gap issues (which I don't really care about) among other minor issues like Teslas seem to have.

This goes to my point: Sure, Tesla has numerous problems and we're all within our right to refuse delivery on something we're not happy with. In fact, I encourage everyone to do so. I know I will insist my car meets my standards.

However, I also believe we're scrutinizing these cars 100x more thoroughly than any other cars we bought in the past. I have never brought a checklist when picking up my new car before. Have you? I have never spent an hour poring over every nook and cranny before accepting delivery prior to this.

I wonder if the two in-demand Priuses I bought would have held up to such scrutiny? I know the G35 Coupe I bought would not have. They were never able to properly attach the driver's seat, so every time I sped up or slowed down, the seat would move. Imagine being told that was "in spec".

This is basically what I see on every piece attached to the car. Not a big deal, but haven’t seen stuff like this on $20K cars.
