Resetting fixed it for my car and the techs called and asked me to pick my car back up. When I got to the service station and they turned the engine on, the dashboard was black again. They decided to keep the car until the firmware to fix it is released.

Wow! That’s weird. I don’t know if the firmware was downloaded to my car while I was at an event (would I be notified? I am still learning this car’s many features) but all the screens worked as I drove home. We’ll see tomorrow morning. It’s a good thing I have a company car I can drive if things aren’t working tomorrow. Good luck and keep us updated!

I don’t know when you took delivery of car, but they updated firmware while we were waiting for delivery last night. I wish they hadn’t now.

I just picked up my vehicle last week which has the new MCU without issue. I’m curious if I could be potentially impacted as well, or, it’s some software update they had done subsequent to me taking delivery.
 
Don't assume your issue has been fixed just because the instrument cluster started working again. You might want to call them and double check about the fix. If it's just an OTA firmware update, wonder why they are taking the cars back and keeping in the SC until fixed .

Because it’s a safety hazard to allow these cars on the road. We drove 1/2 hour to service station without knowing our speed or use of turn signals.

Have not heard from our DS yet. We did go by the lot, and ours is there. :D The red one. Also posted another pic of the lot. About 30 Xs.

On the last photo, this is a sticker on every vechile. Any idea what the date is? Everyone we saw was a Monday date, most in Feb.

Hi Wingit,

I'm in Michigan waiting to pick up my Red X in Chicago later this week.
I have not heard lately from my DS...
I was told mine went into production March 2 and finished March 5.
I am guessing the 03/05 date is the production complete date from what I was told about mine.

Your third picture answered one of my questions - Do they wrap cars for delivery?
It looks like they at least partially wrap the cars to minimize delivery travel damage.

Anyone hear any updates today? Interesting enough when talking to my DS today he stated that the hold initially stated it would be through Mondays deliveries. He has yet to contact those having their vehicles delivered Tuesday and it sounds like Tesla was hoping it would be fixed by tomorrow.
My DS pushed my delivery to the 22 from 16th but told me yesterday he expects my vehicle to be ready by the first part of the week. He’s waiting to hear from service tomorrow morning. Of course, he’s still telling me my car didn’t get picked up in Fremont and that’s why its delayed. Not sure why service would have anything to do with the actual delivery of my car.
