Delivery delays

Hi all. I ordered my inventory MS at the start of July. Primarily as the delivery date was expected to be much sooner than a custom order.

Expected delivery was start of August.

This then slipped to mid August and now is late August/start of September!

When I ordered it. I was told it was on a ship heading for the Netherlands where it's fully assembled and then finally shipped to UK. Apparently almost a month later, it's STILL on a ship heading for The Netherlands!

No one can give me a timescale for it arriving in Netherlands and then no one can give me a reasonable timescale for it being delivered to the SC for me to pick it up!

Problem I have is that my current car goes back to Lexus at the end of August and I've a long journey (with my Director at work) to do early September.

What do you guys think my chances are of a)getting it by early September or b) asking for a loan car from Tesla?

My car was supposed to be delivered yesterday and now no one knows when the car will even ship. This is totally unacceptable and has never happened in my years of BMW ownership.

I'm starting to wonder if there is some kind of pause in deliveries due to the model 3 reveal. Maybe they're busy. Or maybe it might relate to further changes to the S that they just can't communicate to us until today passes? I would certainly be fine with a delay/pause in my order if it meant the inclusion (or option) of further changes (in particularly a larger battery).

Same thing happened to me in Hawaii. Almost 3 months to get a car from CA to HI. Should take 10 days. Unbelievable.

I ordered a 75D model X on 7/14 and it said expected delivery was August - Early September. Now the delivery estimate is September - Early October.

Not sure if this was because of the Model 3 delivery announcements or what gives. I've reached out to my delivery specialist to ask what's up but haven't heard back yet.

Pretty annoyed because we are selling my wife's car hopefully this week or next and we'll be on one car for potentially a month longer than anticipated.

Makes sense with the production focus on the Model 3. Sucks though. Got delayed 2 months with the AP1 to AP2 tooling gap and it was well worth the additional wait. Hang in there!

After reading this I am now assuming mine will be delayed as well, ordered an Inventory MS 75D last Wednesday and aside from the My Tesla login I haven't heard anything more about it.

Spidy is that spreadsheet just custom orders? Is it updated manually?

Turns out that my car is now in Tilburg! So I've been told a couple of weeks there and then a couple of weeks to get to the UK! So all might still be ok for the start of September

Great stuff, did you just hassle Tesla for that info? I found out my finance application was approved so I am now awaiting some more info on when I can get the car.

Not really. I just called the delivery line weekly and finally they've confirmed it's arrived in Holland. I'll be calling again next week and will hopefully be told it's fully built and ready for shipping to the UK
