I recently went to Tesla, to trade in my 2016 Model S 90d with the following options: Model S 90D $88,000.00 All wheel drive Included Midnight Silver $1,000.00 All glass roof $1,500.00 Grey Leather Seats $2,500.00 Autopilot $2,500.00 Premium Package $3,000.00 Ultra fidelity sound $2,500.00 Rear facing seats $3,000.00 $104,000.00 Car is in excellent condition, with 62k miles, and has lifetime unlimited charging. Who wants to guess what Tesla offered me to trade-in for a new 2019 Long range Model S?
Well I know my trade in value on a domestic non-tesla was about half what its book value was and a 1/3 less then other dealerships offered as trade in...hoping since authentic tesla used are pretty valuable they gave you better!
Guys common, we all know Teslas have the least amount of depreciation of any vehicle, Elon has said so many times.
@evalst2018 I would say around $35K tops. If its higher than that the question to ask is how does Tesla even make any revenue reselling used vehicles?
You guys know your numbers too well. PWlakewood is the winner. Model S 90D $88,000.00 All wheel drive Included Midnight Silver $1,000.00 All glass roof $1,500.00 Grey Leather Seats $2,500.00 Autopilot $2,500.00 Premium Package $3,000.00 Ultra fidelity sound $2,500.00 Rear facing seats $3,000.00 $104,000.00 3.75 years old/62kmi $37,900.00 Depreciation 63.56%
Even I am amazed by that number. I would've guessed a little over 40. Maybe because of the high-ish mileage? Maybe they're just crazy? Is it a facelift? Maybe you could sell it privately for around 50
Crazy. You can't even buy the cheapest one on their website (SR+ Model 3) with that offer. But I am not surprised. Seems about average.
The real problem is you can get a new Long Range Mode S with similar configuration, close to 100 more miles of range, and FSD hardware for $83k.
