There are real costs to the motor, it's not a $100 piece of kit. The more current you want it to be able to handle, the more torque you want it to have to produce, the more copper you're going to be including it. Same with the inverter - power electronics are expensive. All of the cabling, same issue.
If you don't want to shell out the big bucks for a premium car, don't complain that your performance matches your budget. Actually, exceeds your budget, these are excellent performance figures for the price range. You might get a better performance buy on a Type R, but that won't come with nearly as many nifty features (and of course is not electric)...
