Do Model Y prices rise on Monday as well?

Why would you say that? Tesla lowered the prices, everyone got pissed off, then they decided to split the difference. All cars now are cheaper than the were a year ago.
That is the way I read it. Which means it is worth a 3% discount to place your order now and let Tesla hold on to your $2,500. Which actually seems like a good deal.

Unless I have completely misread this, the prices aren’t going up, they are just not as discounted.
If Tesla discounted 6% when they released the $35k and went online only, they are now changing the discount to just 3%.
So, this shouldn’t impact the MY, which didn’t exist at a different price before.

I think all (non base level) prices, including Model Y are increasing tomorrow at midnight, at least according to one of the Youtubers I saw and from interpreting Elon’s tweet from yesterday. Knowing this would definitely influence my decision about placing a deposit, as I’m sure it would many others. Does anyone know for sure??

Troy took my Model S pre-reveal reservation many, many years ago. He's now one of the regional sales executives.
Maybe I will give Tesla a free $2,500 loan after all! It is fully refundable and will help Q1 look a tiny bit better I guess...

This time around Tesla let people to order the Model Y instead of just to put a reservation. Even if there is a price increase it should not affect people who have already placed an order.

That is what I was wondering CarlK. If you reserved/ordered/down paymented the 2.5K would it lock in your price?
And if so would you be locked in if the price drops below what you agreed to?

You could always cancel your order and re-order if the price drops. (since your $2,500 is fully refundable.)

yes, i was surprise no change. now the model Y price and model 3 is close to each other. Will this hurt model 3 sale?
Not too bold bet but I do agree.
I said last year the 3P was going to get the S75D cancelled. S75D was terrible value in comparison. Boy were people pissed.
I was right.
Well it didn't go up as the same times as the price did on the S, X, and 3. But it appears that they just upped the price of the Y by $1k across the board.
