Does anyone’s Underneath Front Bumper look like this

I took delivery on my m3 end of June and i guess i missed this on my delivery inspection, so this past Friday i had an appointment for PPF. The installer called me an hour later saying he cant ppf the front bumper because underneath is defective and to take it to Tesla. Had my SC appointment this morning and the service foreman said they won’t fix it but i can take it to another PPF installer who could maybe file it down? I cant unsee it now.

Yep, I have a few small areas on the underside of my front bumper that look like what’s shown in your photos. Arguably, crappy QC on the part of Tesla, but for me it’s ”within spec” and not a big deal. Just take a razor and trim off the excess plastic at the edges. It just thin plastic and on the very bottom for the vehicle. So, clearly not in a visible area.

This is an extremely simple & quick fix, especially for any competent detail shop offering PPF. If your detail shop/PPF installer is really telling you he/she cannot work on the front bumper because of those edges, I’d run away from that shop/installer as quick as possible!!!
By the way, the PPF does not need to be wrapped around the edges at the very bottom parts of the bumper. The installer can simply stop the PPF right at or a few millimeters from the bottom edge.

I have an Xacto knife that I was going to try to use on it to file it down but I don't wanna mess it up and I am definitely looking for a different installer and will point it out.
