The Escort 8500 CI was introduced in 2010.... Escort came out with a new installed radar/laser system called the Max360 CI last month. It has dual radar antenaes so you can see the direction of the radar signal (like the Valentine 1) and the front radar antenna likely will have one of the longest ranges as well as improved blindspot signal rejection. The Laser shifters are currently being tested, but looks like there are some early bugs that need to be worked out...

Thanx for that extensive review! Awesome!
Let me ask you another question... hypothetical, of course ;)
In the old days, when LASER hit your jammer, their gun would read "error" which gave you time to turn off your jammer, slow down and let them hit you again registering your current legal speed. Are there LASER guns now that will tell the police with an indicator on their gun WITH CERTAINTY that there is a jammer on that car?

Yes, sometimes an error code would show up on the screen of the laser gun while it is being jammed. However, I have not seen an error code pop up with the newer jammers and guns currently in use. Unlike radar, the police have no way of detecting a laser jammer. The only way to tip off a cop you are using a jammer on him is if you jam him to his/her gun. Always jam until you reach the posted speed limit and then turn it off or have it set to auto shut off after a specific time interval. The cop thinks it just took extra time to get your speed and you don't arouse suspicion.

A D-bag in Texas used to drive around and purposely jam cops continuously and post the videos to Youtube. That unfortunately led to jammers getting outlawed in Texas.
