EAP owners.. are you spending $2k to get FSD?

Nope, we like EAP and the ability to single/double tap to activate cruise/lane keep.
You can have that even if you buy FSD, just disable it when you don’t want to use it. If you never want to use it, then save your money. 🙂

However, keep in mind that if you don’t buy FSD, you won’t be able to transfer EAP/FSD to a new car, and you won’t be able to buy just EAP for your new car, based on the current conditions.

Why would we pay $2k for FSD and disable it?

As it stands, you can't transfer FSD right now unless Tesla is running a special. Regardless, we wouldn't pay $2k for EAP either 😂

I meant disable it when you want to use TACC.

You said you like EAP and you paid $6k for it — why wouldn’t you buy it for $2k now?

Eh, personally I want to get in the car and drive. Not toggle back and forth in menus to enable/disable things.

We like EAP, but we didn't pay $6k since it came with the car. It's not worth $2k either. On the Y we just cancel AP to change lanes, then reengage.

Can anyone confirm that if you are grandfathered in for unlimited data on your circa 2018 model 3 that this upgrade will still keep the unlimited data free? Just want to be sure that they don’t try to switch it with the upgrade and make you pay monthly for data streaming.
