Easy Entry - In need of a simple adjustment

Easy Entry is a great addition. I mean, my Jeep has it and for years my Tesla did not. There is one thing that needs to be updated, however. When exiting, the steering wheel should go up FIRST and THEN in. As it is now, the steering wheel goes in first. I have long legs and the easy entry actually makes it harder to get out of the car. Is there a way around this that I am missing?
