Etched windows

I had my windows tinted with Xpel ceramic and noticed when I picked it up wht seems like water marks streaks on the passenger side windows. Didn’t think much of it except it doesn’t clean off. I went to the installer and they commented on they’ve seen a few Tesla’s with the windows etched.

The installer implied the issue wasn’t likely that visible prior to the tint - the tint makes it more noticeable.

Anyone else experience this? Zoom in the on the pics to see the vertical streaks.

Appears to be water from tint install. If it doesn’t go away after 5-7 days I would ask the installer to remove film. It is common to have these streaks appear after tint and especially this time of year were moisture takes much longer to dissipate. I will tell you I just had my windows tinted by a company who do lots of Tesla’s and suspect if this was a “ common issue with Tesla’s” he would have let me know. I however don’t have this issue.

Thanks. I should have clarified that the marks are on the outside of the glass.

I’m wondering if this is hard to remove residue from the paint correction or ceramic coatin process.

I took a razor and with some effort it seems to be comming off in the small area I tried with a lot of elbow grease.

I’ll spend some time on the smallest rear quarter window later today and see if i can remove it.

My instinct is telling me there is something in the detailers process that caused this.
