I have a brand new 2019 model and the doors align great, but what does happen, is that they sort of shift aft when opening and closing which causes them to sort nick the window trim at the rear of the side window line.
This seems to be a pervasive issue and has causes issues with other owners doors stopping before fully closing because they bind on that rear corner.
Which makes it worse, is I have chrome delete using black vinyl and it has started to chip away at that light material. I had the detail shop put a little bit of PPF over those edges to help provide some armor, but can already see where it is hitting that trim with every actuation. If you put forward pressure on the door by placing your palm against the window and pushing forward during operation, it misses the trim. But that is certainly not a long term fix.
It is even scratching the edge of the rear windows as that is the area that is catching on the trim when it opens and closes.
I don't know if this is something the service center can fix. In my mind it is just the over-engineered nature of these doors and may be something we have to live with unless there is some sort of recall that changes some of the parts to adjust the overall travel of the doors.
