Fines for ICE-ing EV charging spaces

The ones I‘ve seen don’t have the parking spaces painted green or blue, with an electric vehicle icon with plug. Just the Jolt logo.

The Mona Vale ones are both well-marked (doesn’t stop them being ICEd, but they are well marked) - painting on the road and signs too. This is one of them from this morning after I finished charging (hence why the CCS2 handle isn’t plugged in to my car):

Hurstville - trickier to plug in to a model 3 but good to see that it can be done

Wodonga Council didn't want to permit exclusive use of 6 spaces, so the compromise was that two spaces are marked as "charging only" and four are marked "60 minute general parking permitted".

Possibly understandable in 2015 when these were first built, but as usage has grown the council refused requests to make all the spaces dedicated.

Perhaps they'll work it out when Tesla open their 20 stall site in Benalla and 15 stall site in Albury...

Similar at Cooma where there are two Tesla only spots (that also now have No Parking EVs while charging excepted) and two 60min General Parking spots.

(and the private carpark pays for council officers to attend)

Mostly they don't have to pay for council officers - the quid pro quo is that the council gets the money from the fines.
