Anyone receive a firmware update notification last night? I got one last night but did not update it because I could not find any details anywhere. Any ideas??? Mine has 8.0 by the way.

It's likely 2.42.40. It's a good one, do it. Many bug fixes particularly for Media Player.

So far, it appears to be all goodness. While the official name for this release on the tracker site is "USB Media Love", it might just as
well be "Tesla Responds to Complaints" ('cause "Tesla Responds to Complaints Although They Really Should Test More Thoroughly
Before Releasing" is a bit ungainly).

It seems to have fixed the bug where the headlights briefly flash every time you start the car. Haven't checked if it fixed the issue where you couldn't turn off the headlights (Off position would actually switch them On).

It was so weird. I got it last night but then I got a notification that update failed.

This morning I got another notification of update and this time it did update.

It seems to have fixed the bug where the headlights briefly flash every time you start the car. Haven't checked if it fixed the issue where you couldn't turn off the headlights (Off position would actually switch them On).

lol I didn't even notice the neither of them exist...

Installed Sunday night. Monday morning I get the flashing warning that "Car needs service contact Tesla service". I should get the car back next Wednesday. Since they'll have it so long, I'm having them add the upgraded tpms system...

Got 2.42.40 Monday (10/31) and noticed that the radio stays off now, when turned off. Doesn't turn back on when the door is opened to get out or get back in. It's a small thing, but it's a relief. Hope this change sticks.

I got my 2.42.40 today. After upgrading to 8 last week, I'm having trouble connecting to my home router. This connection was fine with 7. I was hoping that today's firmware will help, but still no luck.

Anyone have any suggestions? I contacted service, but still no reply.

Yup, 2.42.40. It seems to have cured the "re-index the USB every time" bug and the "forget that the radio is muted" bug.

I got my update yesterday and now my Auto-Steer told me for my entire regular commute this morning - AutoSteer is Temporarily Unavailable. I hope it truly is temporary?!

Update: Looks like I spoke too soon. The HIDs are still flashing when you start the car. I learned you can turn the headlights off by putting the car in Drive, turn off, then back to Park. Weird.
