Sorry Jomo25 and others for the endless ride that you all are on. I really don't see why paint color should be an issue, but what do I know. Hopefully you all will get your button soon.

Thanks. I've stayed as positive as I can. And I've played cheerleader for others waiting. But to be honest, this kinda sucks now. I have a new baby coming soon, so I know this is small in comparison. But every time I have to put gas in this POS Fiesta (today was one of those days) and can't get into position like I'm used to on a highway onramp (pretty much every day), I'm reminded how much it sucks.

Let me go over that list of baby prep tasks again. It's what I do to help me forget about how difficult the whole process of getting this car (not all Tesla's fault) has been.

that is your personal RN number. not supposed to share that with anyone. what we are talking about is the Sequence Number, but the threads say Tesla isn't giving them out anymore (???).

That RN is the only number I have, not sure what anyone could do with it? I reserved 3/17 so perhaps you are correct and they are not giving sequence numbers any longer. Not sure what those really told you anyway since it seems to have no bearing on production timing.

As torturous as this waiting is, I can't imagine those who reserved months or years ago...but I've been encouraged by all those who received Delivery buttons yesterday. Congrats!!!

Add one more 60 - Got delivery button today! Great timing with the Q1 profitability announcement. I'm hoping the delay may have allowed more focus on QC such as the dead battery issues (swegman and others) and windshield cracking etc.

Just got my VIN by calling - 8293 :/ was hoping for it to be in the 9000s

So, still no delivery button. Actually, I have no buttons at all now. The Service sign up button went away after last night's update. And after the mid-day update today, now I have no buttons, not even the View Design button. We're going the wrong way. Sigh. I called my IDS. He still gives the same vague crap "looking like it it'll go to production mid-April, factory shutdown for retooling this week, will pick up hard on Monday". I told him I am the only February finalizer I know that is still pending a Deliver button and I finalized in the first week, I'm quite frustrated at this point. He said, he'd "talk to his colleagues to see if he can get more info and call me back". Not holding my breath. Really losing faith here. I even had to nag the accessories folks who promised my mats would ship out over the past weekend. They didn't. They still haven't. My card was hit a week ago. I got a email today (after I emailed them) saying they just got a shipment in this week so mine should go out this week sometime. Whatever.

@jomo: i think everyone's went blank after the update. I used to have "View Design", "Serivce Plans" and the text that they were building my car. after this morning's web downage (i suppose for the big news) everything disappeared.

Did you order the rear seats by chance? Perhaps there's a parts supply issue that has pushed me back.

Congrats ddruz. Strange how how your vin is lower than mine but your delivery window is after mine. We pretty much have the same specs.

No I didn't order them. Part of the reason was they told me it would delay my order by up to 2 weeks. At that time they said my order was targeting to be done by March 29. Now we're past that date and I'm not even in production.

WTF? That sucks! I'm telling you, I've lost confidence in some of the IDS folks. I talked to mine yesterday. No update in essence. Same vague info, seems to know less than me. Tried to tell me my delay was because I got my Pre-MVPA on 1/11 and didn't actually sign til 2/6. Yes that is the case. But that accounts for the delay from the original delivery timeline estimate of Feb-Mar, not a delay from April to what's looking like May. here we are 1 week through April and I don't have a delivery window, a VIN, or even a date when they think I will have them, much less a car.

I got an email from my product specialist who said that my car most likely wont be available until the latter part of April. My window is 4/10 to 4/24, and he mentioned that this entire week, the factory is closed due to maintenance. so the 4/10 is highly unlikely, as they will probably restart production on 4/10. He didn't change my window, but did mention that they may miss the end of the window, depending on where my car is in the production line.

I would consider this good and bad news.

The bad news is, of course, a longer wait. But the good news is you should get the benefit of the retooled and refreshed production line. Hopefully that means better panel fit and alignment issues, and inclusion of fixes for the myriad of little things that we've read about on this board (condensation in the tail lights, window defrost vents, creaky pano roofs, etc.).

I'll take the week hit if it means a better chance that those issues will be better when the car finally arrives.
