I would consider this good and bad news.

The bad news is, of course, a longer wait. But the good news is you should good the benefit of the retooled and refreshed production line. Hopefully that means better panel fit and alignment issues, and inclusion of fixes for the myriad of little things that we've read about on this board (condensation in the tail lights, window defrost vents, creaky pano roofs, etc.).

I'll take the week hit if it means a better chance that those issues will be better when the car finally arrives.

I dont mind it if it improves all of what you pointed out. It's my bday present to myself, so was hoping to get it in the window they gave as my bday is smack in the middle. I am going to Palm Springs the last week of April into May and was thinking of testing out the charging/planning aspects, but I guess I can wait for another opportunity.

Didn't you see? I posted 4/19 - 5/3. Oh you mean the OTHER baby. Interestingly enough, 4/20 is the due date. I've been saying the Delivery Window for her is 4/9 - 4/21. Busy month ahead.

Received a call from Laura S a couple days ago letting me know that my car would be at the St. Louis Service Center today. So we finalized the MVPA yesterday, the check from Alliant should be in her hot little hands on Tuesday and fingers crossed when I get home from Chicago on Thursday afternoon, there is a delivery truck sitting outside the front of my house ready to make me one happy bastard.

When I made my initial reservation, they said 6 - 8 months. When I signed the pre-MVPA, they said Feb-March. While we are going to miss that a bit, once my VIN showed up in the app they had fine-tuned it to March 30th thru April 13th. Looks like we are going to hit that on the head.

This is going to be one of the longest weeks of my life!!

Now I'm the "when will the darn delivery button show up" guy.

Sequence 19,387 on 2/20 and added SC on 2/25.

60 silver, air, pano, tech, sound, 21s, SC

jealous, excited, struggling with patience.

it is/was a painful wait. made it hard to work, as I kept reading the forums to get my Model S fix. After the 1 month timepoint, it got better (plus I had a million deadlines at work i had to take care of).

Now... just gotta see when they will be able to make my car and how soon it will be delivered. and figuring out the charging. i only have 110V at home, and looks like it is going to be messy trying to get 240V in (i live in a condo/townhome complex so need to get HOA approval). Plus my breaker subpanel is full and is on the 2nd floor. this will require that I a) add a new subpanel, and have the electrician wire it through the attic, to the heater closet, then diagonally into the garage or b) install a second meter. Extra costs I didn't think about and may not need to (for the time being). My work has 6 J plugs, so at least M-F i can get a full charge.

Ha! a "delay" in the delivery of my car. Maybe end of April due to the downtime this week. And the product specialist gave me someone else's VIN....

Tesla Folk,

Patience the virtue. Busy place there in Fremont, and communication can be sketchy as they have 100 cars per day heading to individual owners - not just a dealership - thank goodness. Had same issues in December, have no issues with this car, now 6,000 miles of whisper-quiet driving later.

Of course that is frustrating, and not the way it'll be down the line - but we all early adopters. That said, hope all these cars arrive soon soon sooner.

And we are all soon to be driving the coolest car ever made. All bias aside...

I once sat motionless for 2 hours with a video camera trained on a chrysalis because I was sure the butterfly inside was going to emerge. So I thought I had great patience. Waiting for this delivery button is TORTURE. Then again, i can't drive a butterfly.

Picked up my car on 4/5/13 at the factory. We were the only group there so we had a private tour of the factory. Our tour guide allowed us to get up-close with the production cars but no touching. We also had a glimpse of the battery cells when a trailer drove by us. Unfortunately the factory was closed for the week for maintenance. The employees need a break after pushing out so many cars to ramp sales for the first qtr. Shout out to Andrew for being such a great DS.

Had no anxiety driving the car back down to LA. Drove 70-75 the entire way and arrived at each supercharger with about 50 rated miles to spare on standard charge. Going up the grapevine was amazing. There are no words to describe my feelings and emotions. I'm so happy with the car!

PS. The NEW superchargers at Harris Ranch are now OPEN & ONLINE

60Kwh, black, air, leather, 19" wheel, tech pkg. Reserved Jan 2011, re-finalized March 12, 2013. Delivery window: Apr. 26th - May. 10th

I wasn't offered home delivery option, either factory or service center. Time to get the 240v installed ...

Sleepless in Fremont. Picking up my car tomorrow from Fremont factory. The car was ready 2 weeks back but I was traveling so couldn't take delivery. just put the camera batteries on charge, so I'm all set.

Congrats! if you can, check what VINs are available

Talked to my Product Specialist (is he my DS??) and he again gave me a tentative end of my window delivery again. Indicated that pick up at Factory would be a great experience, which I would love to do, but can't. Also kept saying that they preferred I pay all up front before picking up the car (but could provide the last of it in a check if that suited me). Time flies so fast. Super excited.
