I’ll be taking a trip through the mountains of BC, Canada next week and looking for some rock protection. The passes there get sanded. Last winter when I drove my Escalade, it got blasted every time I was passed or passing someone. By the time I reached my destination by car was full of grit.

Does anyone use those leather front end protectors for trips? Do they even make them for Model S?

I think Paint Protection Film (clear bra) is the standard these days.

Just make sure you only use a front end bra if you have your car wrapped. Placing these next to an unprotected surface is just going to sand your paint at the contact locations because dust and grit will get trapped in there and the wind will move the bra back and forth. Take the bra off as soon as you can and I would also inspect/clean it anytime you encounter dust storms or lots of road sand etc.
