Test Loop 1 - 2020.48.35.1 (Beta 10) - 17 Jan 2021 - 11:09 - James Locke
** This is the first FSD beta version 10 that has been posted. **

3:18 - a little weird how the parked cars just kind of popped into existence on the screen. Almost like textures loading or pop in on a video game.

6:15 - changes lanes into an incorrect, non-drivable lane and then weaves a bit.

10:35 - didn’t know how to deal with construction cones partially blocking the left turn lane, driver intervention. Edge case.

1:20 - fairly impressive unprotected left.

2:59 - car pulls out. Driver, IMO, let the Tesla close too quickly for comfort. Car slows down quickly from 31 to about 8 (in about a second or two) fairly close to the other car. I have no doubt that it was safe and that there was no real risk of the Tesla hitting the car, but it might have been a little worrying for the other driver. My personal opinion, he should have manually slowed the car down or at least reported it or the FSD team to review. IMO, the car needs to be more than technically safe, it also needs to be comfortable for other drivers and pedestrians on the road.

edit -

3:25 - driver does indeed report the previously mentioned incident. Well done.

4:20 - car appears to slightly go over the middle line. Not a big deal, quickly corrected. As it proceeds down the street, it does look like the steering wheel is a little twitchy and the car is swerving slightly like Brandon has complained about in a lot of his videos, but the driver in this video doesn’t comment, so maybe it’s fine.

4:50 - intersection with broken traffic lights. Not much traffic and the car handled it fairly well. Maybe a little slow to proceed through the intersection, but otherwise looked fine.

8:00 - handles a situation it couldn’t do previously. It made a right turn, and then immediately changed lanes to the left so it could continue straight. According to the driver, it never could do that before.

(FSD) Beta 10 FIRST Short drive / What changed ? - 4:10 - CMePrint

2:37 - two steps forward one step back moment. Car fails a left turn it handled fine before in previous versions. Just cut the turn too much and came close to hitting the median, forcing an intervention. Driver notes that he tried the turn a couple times in this version and it failed it both times.

Overall though, looked like a solid short video with that one bad moment.
