Some of these drives are approaching Waymo performance in areas more complicated than Chandler (IMO):

Sorry for all the snarkOk, not trying to be difficult, but I'm just trying to completely understand. I realize beta 9 isn't true FSD and even if I 'buy' it I won't be getting true FSD. What I'm asking is whether I would get the capability I'm seeing in the beta 9 videos--'autosteer on city streets' and the other things listed, summon, or whatever. I realize you still need your hand on the wheel, all that. I'm only asking if I ordered a car today and it were delivered three months from now would I get as the 'public' and not a beta tester the features being tested in this latest beta release that I'm seeing in these videos? Or even within the next year, however long it took to iron out any feedback?
You would get whatever they're having (hopefully better than what we're seeing in the videos right now) once it is deployed to the rest of the fleet.Ok, not trying to be difficult, but I'm just trying to completely understand. Tesla and Elon say you will. Tesla and Elon say a lot of things will happen that never have.Ok, not trying to be difficult, but I'm just trying to completely understand. Agreed. Next FSD beta update, unprotected left videos from Chuck is all I am interested inThe vids are impressive, but clearly still a lot of work to be done, especially with unprotected lefts across highway traffic like Chuck has.
Nice. But I need
Terrible FSD operator. He should spend less time screaming about how hype he is and more time actually intervening when the car is about to cut someone off or otherwise screw up. Take over and report when the car is clearly confused, don’t let it fumble it’s way through while there are other drivers waiting on you. Tesla monitors the disengagements so let them take a look and fix instead of inconveniencing other people for your own fun.
There is no guarantee of anything. We don't know when the general public will get the capabilities in the beta 9 videos since the software is still beta and Tesla will only release it when they feel it is "good enough". We don't know when that will happen. FSD Beta V9 could go out to the general public next month, 6 months, a year or maybe it gets delayed even longer.
Very nice first impression. Now to wait and see how it performs in downtown Sac and on those weird small roundabouts he has, where previous builds struggled mightily.Super impressive right here, the red car moved into fsd's lane mid-turn, and V9 didn't speed the car to avoid it (see the red car highlighted in gray). This is "expert" human driving and mind-boggling computer vision magic:

This blows my mind x100; vision-only magic. Elon said it'll get a lot better in the coming releases. You compare it to something from Mobileye; Tesla is lightyears better at vision-only perception.
