The following thing happend to this gen 2 wallconnector.
- It was working fine untill two weeks ago. Around that time when you would plug in the charger into the car (m3 and mx) it would trip the breaker.
- I got a 3 phase 25amps, 240v. So I fully readed the manual and i tried differend thing:
- Connected it to 16amps 1 phase (3.5kw) and turned the switch on setting 5 (which would mean its 16 amps) and also turned it to 0 (test mode). Both times it tripped the breaker as soon as i flip the switches of the breaker to ON.
- I know its the charger and not my circuit breaker being bad. (it can charge with the mobile connector fine which is also 3.5kw.)
- Dip switch is (from left to right) down-up.
- I did test it 3 times, everytime i smell some elecktrical shortage (idk how to decribe it) and at the last test some piece flew off (see the attachment with the circled piece)
- I replaced the manatic fuse (the block on the top), also dindt solve anything.
- All Connections are ok (the screws that hold the wiring are tight).
I feel like its the chip board itself that has issues. But its hard to figure this out. Tesla itself is looking into it, but its probaly out of warranty (2018).
What do you think i can do in this situation?
