Hi Marcus,
And your point is?

Nah, not a mod. Forum software "corrects" posts like "<3 TEG" to "<3 teg". No biggee. Just struck a nerve as we were discussing the nanny state recently.Did I miss something? Did a mod mess with your posts?
That we're all polite down here....
I don't want a test drive.
I should be getting my car in August, maybe even in July....that's next month! But now it feels like the night before Christmas and the anticipation is sweet. As kids we always wanted to know what was in the gifts, trying to figure out what was in them, but the truth was that it sort of killed the suspense if we did figure it out. I've seen, sat in and ridden in the Beta's; I've configured my car and been thrilled by the Tesla videos....And I don't want to ruin the big day, it would be like snacking on chips before going to a great meal at the best restaurant. I'm not even going to try to book a test drive, and I'm really, really happy.
I kinda' agree with you, Nigel. It'd indeed be more fun to be able to drive away for good in one's own car. I'm not going to change my mind about getting the car based on the test drive anyway. And, yes, I've suffered from Beta fatigue too.
That said, if I can get in on the Fremont factory event next week, would love to see all the colors for the first time and would want to say hi to Mr. Roboto as well! Also, Tesla always throws quite a party so, don't want to miss out on the fun and the chance to meet up with some familiar faces and some new ones from this forum
I somewhat agree with both of you except on one specific point.I kinda' agree with you, Nigel. It'd indeed be more fun to be able to drive away for good in one's own car. When my S arrives, if I'm already familiar with some of the finer details of operating the vehicle (from the pre-test-drive introduction) that's less "on arrival" time before I can "just drive" it.
I would like the owners manual before delivery for that purpose. Then all I would have to do is to pick up the things not in the owners manual from the introduction. A "new car features" manual as well would be even better.

Bonnie, it's almost time to arrange that TMC meetup again at City Beach, Fremont! October's a distant memory and we didn't have the full entourage in Feb at the X reveal...
Word from whom? Why would they have said on Tuesday "this week"?
Not everything always goes according to plan. Drink some whiskey, enjoy the weekend. Next week will be exciting and you'll plenty of info to munch on then.
