Got the name of my Delivery Specialist today, even with delivery months away

I called Tesla today about getting a purchase order for PenFed. As all I'm seeking at this stage is loan approval for 90 days, my pre-delivery MVPA will do. But in the process of asking the question I learned the name and contact info for my delivery specialist, even though my multi-coat red my delivery window is April/May Now I have a contact to work with. Couldn't be happier.

The variability is puzzling. My delivery window started a week ago, and I don't have a DS! (I e-mailed [email protected] today to ask the status, but haven't received a reply.)

Have you tried calling? When I called with my questions I was directed to the person who had managed deliveries in Maryland. As she had been recently given a new territory, it was she who gave me my DS's name and contact information.

I did call to ask my VIN, which I was given. I then asked when the car would be coming, and the person who answered the phone said she wasn't sure. She didn't give me her name, or any other name.

I just called Tesla. Delivery is expected early to mid-March. But no VIN yet and no DS assigned to me.They told me I would get an email in a few weeks with this info. Makes it sound like I will not get this info until just before I get the car. Was hoping to get the VIN soon to shop for insurance. My insurance company still does not have the car in their system, and are thus quoting a rediculous premium.

Maybe there are many fewer cars being delivered in Maryland so it's less complicated. Or maybe it depends on the person you reach. That's not good -- Tesla should ensure consistent quality and reliability of information across all delivery staff such that it shouldn't matter who takes your call.

I expect my car later this week, hopefully, but have not been told I have a DS. I figured when the car hits Rockville, he or she will contact me to arrange delivery. But then I read about people knowing/finding out who their DS is, and I wonder...yet it does me no good to know now, methinks.

I am taking delivery on Thursday; was called by my DS (first introduction) 4 days ago and was told that he may (or may not) come out for my delivery and that someone else may drop off the car and go thru the details. I am presuming that the Chicago center is large and thus your DS will vary depending on when (and where) you get your car. I received a PS (inside product specialist) when I emailed 3 weeks ago looking for a VIN.

I got a call this morning from Jamee in Rockville, arranging me to pick up my car in Rockville this Saturday, Feb. 9th, at 4 PM! She e-mailed a confirmation, copying my "Personal Delivery Experience Specialist," Jacob. So yes, I have a DS (DES?), complete with name and e-mail. Party: ON!
