Here’s a demo of autopark working with no one in the carI wondered why I could never do this!
I thought it was supposed to park when you got out of the car not before you got out of the car?
I wish my FSD package included this. But I have hardware 2.5. I guess I might as well turn summon back to press and hold since I prefer it that way. Here’s a demo of autopark working with no one in the car
I'm a bit concerned about getting mine after I've run out of bumper-to-bumper warranty (probably by the end of the year). Although I'd hope Tesla would provide some coverage beyond that if the HW3 goes flaky, I'd rather it be crystal clear upfront that it is under warranty.Given that there are no real benefits of having HW3 now from end-user prospective, I think it is better to have your HW upgraded to V3 as late as possible (HW3 can use a bit more of total energy AFAIR, and also there might be different HW versions, I would rather have the latest one).
OMG!! 15 watts?Do you where that is referenced?
UPDATE: I found it. There’s a summary of the presentation at AutoPilot Review. HW 2.5 uses 57W and 3.0 uses 72.
Yeah, math says that represent about 1/3 a mile of range over a 300 mile, 60 mph trip.OMG!! 15 watts?

5hr x 15W = 75kWh
75Wh / 250Wh/mile = 0.3 miles
Oops, thanks I missed that. At first I had it as 0.075kWh and thought that looked messy but botched the edit. Now corrected.Should be 5hr x 15w = 75 Wh.........not kWh...........but you did come up with the correct answer despite the slip.
Statistically insignificant...
Because it is +/- 0.1% of your car's total battery power use.Not sure why you think 25% more power consumption is "statistically insignificant."

Has anyone with FSD received HW3 upgrade?
Unless you are going for a constant rolling 30mph hypermiling record you just won't notice any difference in practice. Even with the hypermile attempt you're talking maybe at most a couple miles on 600 miles.
LOLI hear you, but it's not statistically insignificant when you have thousands upon thousands of cars that now don't travel "quite" as far. That's millions of miles lost. It doesn't bother me, personally, of course.
Sounds like a crazy assumption, no?
ha my assumption was right, see Elon Musk's tweet from a few days ago. He said HW3 upgrades in a few months coincident with roll out of AP on street with red/stop sign detection
Your assumption was coming weeks, earlier. Coming months? Sure, I agree.
OMG!! 15 watts?
Looking at absolute number is meaningless. 15W more means 26% more power usage so it is significantly more power
Although prob not significant as far as affecting range taking into account computational gain
If only I could figure out a way to reduce the time I spend tying my shoes every day by 2 seconds so that by the end of my life I had saved 12 hours, think of what I could do with that time!I hear you, but it's not statistically insignificant when you have thousands upon thousands of cars that now don't travel "quite" as far. That's millions of miles lost. It doesn't bother me, personally, of course.
