I stopped by the temporary Showroom. it is a cubbyhole compared to the old location. The salesman said that they will be there for about 5 months until their new location is ready.

Its on the right side Mall level as you walk out of Macy's. Second door down on the right. I think its the former La Perla store. The first store on the right is Maui Divers

If you blink, you'd walk right by it...especially since they can't fit a car in there!

They must have seen a HUGE drop in traffic moving from that prominent spot in the middle with 3 cars in it, to a little cubby hole with no car in it on the end of the mall. The permanent location will be better, but it's not going to be as good as the first temp spot.

That's a lot of $$ to build out 2 stores at the same time unless there was a change from the permanent store at Ala moana...but that PBN reporter gets a lot of things wrong so I don't always believe his reports.

PBN, in general, is not the most accurate when it comes to reporting.

I looked up the building permits for International Marketplace through the City's permitting/planning website and sure enough plans were submitted for review by Tesla last week. Then I checked Ala Moana and nothing submitted by Tesla. So..plans may have changed!

I heard that The Coming Soon sign for the Tesla sales gallery at Ala Moana is up! Can't wait for another grand opening party!

I was at Ala Moana. Saw the redesigned Model S. It was near where the new store will be. I should have taken the picture of the Coming Soon mural.

When I asked about the destination chargers, she said they were still negotiating with Ala Moana. Hopefully they'll get enough so they can open up at least one for public use.

I asked about the sales licensing as well. They said that they are going to put bathrooms in the showroom so that they can comply with all the licensing requirements.
