Help!! My Phone Contacts do not come up on dash display

Hi there all. I just picked up my 85D this week and I love it BUT I have connected my iPhone via Bluetooth. It shows all my recent calls and contact details on the main screen. However, the phone icon in the dash is dimmed out and I can't scroll through contacts or select the phone icon using the steering wheel buttons.

When end I make or recieve a call then the phone icon is available and I can scroll through contacts using the buttons on the steering.

However, without an active call it does not appear to work on the dash at least

Can someone please help or advise me??

You can't select the phone icon unless you're in a call from the IC.

What you can do though, is to hit the upper right steering wheel button (the one above the right hand scroll wheel) and hit contacts and scroll using the right wheel.

IC = Instrument Cluster. aka dash
