DITB and Ebill, any word on your cars, especially given the e-mail you received from your DS about delivery in October?
I'm curious because I had thought my car would go into production by now, but it's still "sourcing parts".
And for those who have already received their cars (e.g. Mark?), how long did it take to get from "Production Complete" to actual delivery?
Thanks!
To illustrate the process, as it is in my case, here is some correspondence. (My emphasis in the quotes below)

Congratulations on the purchase of your Model S! My name is [] and I am excited to introduce myself as your Delivery Experience Specialist. It is my goal to ensure all goes smoothly for you in this exciting time leading to ownership.
Estimated Delivery Timing
Currently, your Model S (with reservation number RN[]) is estimated to be ready around the beginning to middle of October. Please note that it is normal for delivery timing to shift as we update our production schedule and source parts to create your custom-designed Model S. As soon as I have more information, I will get back to you to schedule a delivery date.
...
Source parts? I have come to develop a negative sentiment towards those two words used next to each other, after having seen it for over 5 months.

Hi [],
There must have been a mistake here, my delivery estimate is middle of September.
My car has been produced and is currently awaiting shipment. The transport department and customs procedures have been smoothened out, so September 15th-20th should be a better estimate. I know you have burned yourself previously by giving too optimistic estimates - considering the logistic challenges, customs and the transport department. By the time my car reaches Hong Kong, the preparation process shouldn't take more than 7-10 days.
Let me know when you have a better estimate.
Thank you
Sorry, [], I was in a bad mood that day when I replied.

I apologize that the estimated delivery date on My Tesla is off due to system error.
The delivery date should [sic] around late September to beginning of October depending on the shipment. To have a buffer we usually add in an extra week to be safe.
Please kindly bear with us for the moment as we are aiming to provide a better estimate in the long term for you.
As I have been waiting around 21 months now since deposit, I have done my "long term" already. Waiting a month or two, in this respect, is short term.
In the long term, however, I am hoping future customers will receive a better flow of information from TM. That is the main weak point in the process, as I can see it. They don't need to make up more "due to" excuses, just explain it as it is, without blaming "system errors", TD, customs, car colour or anything in particular - apart from what the actual reason is. TM is still in its early years, and I hope they will live long and prosper. It would truly be in the TM and Elon Musk spirit to be more honest and straight with the delivery process.
Tally is being updated now with the information in the posts above, thank you.
Please - be sure to check when you go into production, when it changes to in transit and so on (those two won't be emailed, you have to log in and check your My Dashboard to see it). Other info, about delivery dates etc, please let me know so I can update the list in post #1.
Thank you

Looking at some early posts of this thread, I think it will be a long, extended summer this year.
