Honest P90D(L) Quarter Mile Performance

A friend of mine had his dodge ram 2500 Cummins and he managed to get a 1.608sec 60 ft had big enough tires that he was not traction limited and had a 11.0 @ 122 mph. I have raced him many times on the street and usually get him by about 1/2 of a model s off the line and he never catches up because he is about as aerodynamic as a brick.

19" stock chromed wheels. Back in the early sixties I was drag racing at New Brighton, a suburb north of Minneapolis my 1953 Ford. First with a flathead and then with a 283. I am sure you can do better next when there is less slip due to water. I try to drive around it when staging.

this car will without question run in the 10's, just get the track first thing and make the first pass out, that is when the track have the most traction....

Congrats on the 11.12! With the MPH you are showing and more aggressive 60' time I suspect you should see a 10.xx easily. I wish I could get it done first for the glory but I don't think i'll be able to get back to a drag strip in time

I think what slowed me down the most is the slippery track. You can see I could best manage 1.701sec 60 ft. I think if there was no wheel spin I could have easily been a low 1.6 taking the car dangerously close to breaking that 11 sec mark.

Does anyone know what best 60ft is for a p90dl?

Yes i drove around it as well, but did not help.

Those metrics could be quite useful. I can't find much on the web about getting into factory mode on the Model S. The one thing I was able to find included a partial disassembly of the dash and whatnot. is there a different way?

I appreciate the offer but it's pretty far for me given that I live in VA. It's a bummer that these cant be exposed without rooting the car.
