Hood Damage

Go somewhere else fast. The hood is aluminum, which is almost impossible to reshape w/o stretching. Thus what you would normally do is replace with a new hood, not fix.

That's what I thought too, his explanation was they have to make sure there was no additional damage to the lights, or other stuff in the frunk, which seemed weird, as the headlights definitely work. I may get a second opinion.
That said, the tree branch was like 10 feet long and four inches in diameter - really lucky it just hit the frunk and not the glass.

Was quoted $2500 to replace the frunk hood after a tree very large branch landed on it - most of that being labor. Does that seem right?

Check with Tesla Collision in your service area. I was told by a Tesla Service field rep that Tesla will ship a painted frunk to your Service Center based upon your serial number.
Do you more info on this? I was told they all come unpainted except for front and rear bumper and side panels. I would love to get a frunk hood painted from Tesla.
