preheat is the real answer. Why anyone wouldn't do this in the winter is beyond me.

Never had a heated steering wheel before so never realized this was a problem for people.
+2. Society is spoiled by modern comforts such as a heated car steering wheel.I man up...
also I preheat my car.
I haven't had a single car with heated steering, so I've always had cold hands. I'm not complaining that my M3 doesn't have it, but I sure wish it had for the price it cost. Now, I see plenty of people from warm climates saying it's not required. Fair enough, it's not required for YOU. Have you ever driven regularly in negative F temperatures? We've had a few of those already and it's just december. Try driving with big, thick oven mitts and you''ll see why we prefer a heated steering with no gloves![]()
Let the car drive for me.Hello all. For those of you live in below freezing level, how do you warm up your steering wheel during winter ? I find pre heating does not improve the temperature of the steering wheel. Just wondering if you guys have any hacks?
Has anyone done a tear down of the Model 3 steering wheel?Model.does not have heated wheels.. I believe it is just a rumor for future updates

Thankfully, much better glove choices are plentifulTry driving with big, thick oven mitts and you''ll see why we prefer a heated steering with no gloves
Wait ...When I got there that time, it was around 15 degrees (Fahrenheit).
