TuneIn is not really all that good. I miss my AM station as well. I use the iHeartRadio to get my station.
I use Bluetooth from my phone. Works great.Is there some iHeartRadio tesla app I'm missing out on, or do you just use your phone to get iHeartRadio's streaming via bluetooth?
I didn't know AM was still a thing.

Have you checked to see if they simulcast on a FM band?
Example in Los Angeles:
KNX 1070 AM also simulcast on 101.1-2 KRTH HD2
KFI AM 640 --> 103.5-2 KOST-HD2
Don't have a Tesla yet. But from what I understand iHeartRadio and TuneIn are two ways to play AM stations (streaming) on a Tesla. However:
iHeartRadio is $5.99 a month
TuneIn looks to be $14.99 a month
TuneIn appears to be a built in app on the Tesla. Would I have to pay $14.99 a month to use it on my Tesla?
Is that why lots of people are recommending Amazon Echos for the car? Can use TuneIn for free?
Are there ads in that version too?TuneIn is not really 'free'; it's included with premium connectivity... which after a year, it costs $10 per month .
