Yes... if they discover it. Any modifications they will charge to bring them back to original spec. They tried to ding me for plasti-dip on chrome parts of the nosecone until I told them it wasn't paint and just peels off.

Any non-reversible change on a lease is usually frowned upon. Not sure if I would risk it.

I would consider doing this if it could be the TESLA logo and font but this may be a licensing issue. Would also want the parking brakes covered.

I don't want to get too much into details because I don't want to seem like I'm pushing their products. But they have customer pictures on their website of different cars. Mine look similar, but with much much dirtier wheels.

And yes, mine do have the Tesla logo and font. Look for the Custom calipers, and under Engravings, you can select it. I believe they can also do the parking brakes, but I didn't get them, so I'm not 100% sure.

The last time I turned in a lease they spent 2.5hrs in the parking lot inspecting the vehicle against a very detailed checklist. If they find it, it will cost you money at turn in.


With that said I don’t think that’s the end of the world. Just have to ask yourself whether or not it’s worth the cost or worth living with a car that isn’t the style you like.
