Integrated sim card in Tesla's cars

Hello,
Does anybody know:
- How does the Tesla receive data and update when driving? 4g or 5g or satellite or hotspot WiFi?
- what are the Bluetooth specs for the model Y? (4.0-4.1-4.2-5.0-5.1-5.2)

- It has a 4g sim for connectivity. After the 3 month trial of premium connectivity you can either pay £10 a month to keep that access or it reverts to only using data for the wireframe nav and app access. If you don't have premium and want to continue using the Spotify or Tidal app you can use a hotspot from your phone if you want. Connectivity
- I believe it's Bluetooth 4 currently, but who knows, this new MCU that starting to be delivered soon might change that, it's been long rumored that the Wifi/Bluetooth chip will change.

Defo not satellite. That would cost hundreds if not thousands to just stream the mapping data and music for a short journey.

99% sure it’s 4g only but think I saw something about 5G this week. Can’t recall what or where though

Not of they used Starlink. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-20 years time Tesla, Apple etc all used there own satellite networks rather than having to pay third parties

Currently, it’s LTE (4G). But as others have mentioned, you have to pay to have more than the most basic features after the initial trial period.
