I could not find anything on the forum or online about Tesla replacing ghosting windshields.
Did anyone had their issue fixed at SC?
I recall a few in that thread that have had theirs replaced.I guess that is a no.
No. Or at least, not everyone notices it.Do all the model X windshild have this issue?
Definitely seems to be the case. I will admit to mine not being what it used to be! Although, I have tried wearing my glasses and I still see it.Your eyesight also plays a role in this which affects whether you notice it or not.
I had the same spontaneous crack! I am on hold to have it replaced because apparently a new windshield that will remove the ghosting is about to be released.Mine was replaced because of a spontaneous crack a couple days after delivery, but it did not correct the ghosting issue.
Or they're very very stoicNo. Or at least, not everyone notices it.
yes ... it turns on whether your eyes are open or closed?Your eyesight also plays a role in this which affects whether you notice it or not.
I've noticed the wiper smear as well. For me it goes away on the wiper upstroke but comes back on the downstroke. Really annoying.I do not have the ghosting issue thank god but I have a dangerous smear in my line of site when it rains or snows. I'ts constantly there and pretty bad when it rains, which is all the time in Portland. Tesla is on the 2nd attempt to fix. RainX did not help.
Interesting that he thinks they resolved it. More great internal Tesla communication.I asked my OA and got this response:
Thanks for the note- we resolved this late last summer after it came to our attention. Added a different film to the front windshield that reduced glare and blurred night vision.

Once they get rid of that smear for you, I'm sure you'll be able to see the ghosting. You may actually miss the smear.I do not have the ghosting issue thank god but I have a dangerous smear in my line of site when it rains or snows. Oh I see the ghosting also. Actually, there's probably less ghosting through the smear!Once they get rid of that smear for you, I'm sure you'll be able to see the ghosting. You may actually miss the smear.
I just hope smearing windshields doesn't become Tesla's final solution.
