Is there a benefit to HPWC over 32amp plug?

Other than looks, being able to keep the UMC in the frunk, and the fact the HPWC can open the charge port, is there a benefit to installing a HPWC over this 32amp plug shown here?

You can go either way. The Wall Connector can charge up to 60 amps. You can decide if that’s important to you or not.

The wall connector (current version) can only do 48 amps. That is also the maximum that the onboard charger can handle (except for the m3 rwd which is limited to 32). The breaker for a 48amp charger would be 60 amps, so maybe that’s why you were thinking 60.

Some of the above answers are US centric.

UMC can do single phase 32A 240V - so max 7kW.
HPWC can do three phase 32A - so max 22kW, although with a TM3 limited to 11kW by the cars on-board charger.
