Is that from the Road Trend issue that came out last week?

That entire article is their opinion on what the Apple Car SHOULD have, as opposed to actual journalism where they'd report on any real information.

Besides, no one in the their right mind would make a car that looks like that.

Actually, no. That's from a Motor Trends article which brought together a bunch of guys to conceptualize what they hypothetically think an Apple Car may look like.

Motor Trend Shares Purely Imaginative Vision of Futuristic 'Apple Car'

Finding the good in a bad Apple Car story

A Magazine Designed An 'Apple Car' And Everyone Hated It

Side note: Apple doesn't steal Tesla guys, old Tesla employees work for Apple. Elon calls apple the "Tesla Graveyard" cuz apparently they couldn't cut it at Tesla, so they go on to work at Apple.

Elon later walked back those comments. Plenty of top people at both Apple and Tesla have gone on to work for the other company. Anyone who thinks Apple is simply getting Tesla's toilet bowl flushes is not being honest with themselves.

It will be interesting to see what Titan looks like and what Apple is able to do since Tesla have already keyed into the market characteristics that Apple normally exploits... luxury look and feel and very high level of design execution in final products.

And as to the supposed "rendering" it's just based off of what some journalists theorized an Apple car might look like... and there's pretty much no way any actual Apple product is going to look like that.

Apple will try to find something that no other car company is doing well and do it better than any of them. Touchscreen phones existed before the iPhone, but after the introduction of the iPhone 100% of those products were dead within 12 months.

I'm sure that's it. Apple is a $600 billion dollar company because a bunch of dummies work there. Tesla has yet to make a profit.
Tesla reportedly makes about $20,000 profit per Model S. It's just that they're building a company from scratch. They're spending money building the company infrastructure faster than the money's coming in. They're building up their factory to make the Model 3, building a Gigafactory, building the Supercharger network, service centres, etc. Once everything's in place then they can start paying off the debts, and then make a profit. It's not as if they can make money from nothing. You have to spend money to make money.
