Not really a worthwhile comparison. My STI on the other hand, you'd be maybe a quarter of a car ahead until we hit 60, and then I'd just keep pulling. My P3D is very quick, but my STI is crazy fast. But I've also put tens of thousands into modifications on my STI, making it a more reasonable comparison.
Tesla model 3 aren't really super fast once you get past 60 or so. Many ICE cars pull harder than the Tesla when a 50 or 60 mph rolling start is given. Also as pointed out, if you were reacting to him launching, there's half a second right there.
Really? I thought there's a bunch of youtube videos with stock P3Ds smoking all types of cars. I've heard the mid-range seems a little sluggish compared to the dual motor, but wasn't sure how much of a difference.

Really impressive in wet conditions as well. Was it the 18" or 19"-tires? If I remember correctly the 18" have somewhat worse traction in wet conditions since they are more of a low rolling resistance tire.
