Microphone and voice recognition not working after install of 2019.40.50.1

It appears to be totally random. Which indicates it's outside the car on their servers, I think it's a pretty terrible idea relying totally on a mobile signal and Tesla servers for voice commands. It should have a 5 second rule where it defaults to known commands on the cars software it gets zero reply from Tesla. I have stopped using it.

It usually fails when you are demonstrating it to someone , so I was shocked when I took a friend for a ride the other day and it worked perfectly.

Mine went from the worst voice interface I've ever had in a car to the best. Working great now. Tesla works in mysterious ways!

I agree that this is really flaky. My assumption is that it is due to delays in either cell data service or on the server end. Really frustrating when it happens - which is a lot.
