Never thought of it that way... It will still say 3d, just not silver which is too in your face for me hence the dip... But I like your theory too.

A lot of people don't like the Silver 3D logo on then and I tend to agree. Nothing a little black plasti dip can't fix though

It's plastidip. You roughly mask (and I mean very roughly), then spray and peel it from the area's you don't want it on. Look at some YouTube vids on using it on car emblems, etc. Works really well.

Actually one thing I don't know is why more people don't use it for Chrome delete. It's pretty easy to apply and cheaper than chrome wraps. I was thinking of trying it when I get my 3. Awesome thing about plastidip is you can easily peel it off if you change your mind or make a mistake.

That's what some others have reported after reaching out to the supplier and Costco I believe. Pretty sure it's mentioned earlier in this thread.
