SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Tesla Inc <TSLA.O> will pause production at its California factory for six days at the end of the May to work on fixes to its assembly line for its new Model 3 sedan, sources inside the company told Reuters.

The Silicon Valley luxury electric car maker previously warned of 10 days of temporary shutdowns this quarter as the company addresses manufacturing problems that have delayed volume production of the Model 3 sedan, which is seen as crucial to Tesla's long-term profitability.

By that time almost all of us would have gotten our VIN's.

19" were spotted in the holding lot in Freemont today. Likely your cars may already be built or in progress. I don't think you need to be worried about the shutdown.

Couldn't resist going in for a closer look while driving by today. There are a lot of 3's but didn't see any with 19's.

Awesome, they are finally wrapping the bumpers prior to transit.

It's a protective film to keep the bumper from getting scuffed during transport.

I just got my email and called Tesla (call was to Vegas) confirming my method of payment. They said my car should be delivered to the Lawrence location end of May, beginning of June. The excitement is escalating!!! This is real!!

I feel your pain. When did you configure?

march 26th config, March 18 reserve , open to order march 22, so one of the earliest probably to open to order but one of the last to get a VIN looks like. Maybe they are going in reverse order lol or I imagine people throwing darts on a board full of VINS
