Model 3 Keyfob updated on Tesla shop to include passive entry

I'm figuring it's a new bit of electronics, talking some low energy bluetooth. I'd be more bummed if I used mine more as it's mainly for visiting (family) drivers to have something somewhat familiar to hold onto... and also so I don't have to think about setting up the app on other phones and stuff. Still.. bet there's not a trade in policy.. ha ha

If we tweet enough at Elon it might work :p but I honestly got it because I just thought the little car is cool so passive entry or not I'll always have my phone & a keyfob
