Got my VIN on Friday 6/18. Still waiting for a delivery schedule. When I call tesla I get the M3 is in the delivery staging area or it is a pre-vin and it has not been built. Wtf

Looks like it'll probably be a couple more days, my SA said this:
"Factory gated date (finished production) is 6/20. 1 day old. And yes, the car is still at the factory awaiting transport"

It's random broski. Usually, they add it either once your car is made and about to load it to the truck.
When I called the place it was getting delivered to he said "It might just be finished being made if you saw it on the page... Oh no it looks like its on its way already"
I didn't even get an email notifying me about my vin. I just checked then called asap to get delivered so for those of you pressing f5 all day... LOL.
Also note, I was scheduled to pick up at Burbank cause apparently they didn't deliver to my house but the dude just said I can have it delivered instead so I took it. So it doesn't hurt to ask if you want it but was denied in the initial order.
Just got a VIN assigned to my original order, and it is less than 500 away from a million. 999XXX
Good to know. What's your current EDD? I'm 6/22-28, though it shifted twice today, from 8-12 weeks to 6/25-28 to current. Obviously, all dates are meaningless and nothing is real.

My 998500 ish was built 6/20, I'm betting 999 was today
Well it happened. Tomorrow is my pick up date, got a call today saying car will probably not be there for my pickup. Classic.
Whats funny, is my EDD is ahead of your current one. June 23-29. I technically have two orders right now, and the one that has had a VIN since saturday is scheduled delivery for the 25th.

This is the response I got from my SA when I asked him for an update on my order - "...you won't hear an update until your Tesla is on its way here from the California factory, which will be a few days before your delivery...". Sounds like an answer with no answer

Has anyone in the Bay Area tried to just pick it up from the Fremont factory? I live in Sac but work in the Bay and it may be worth the effort to try - but I'm not sure if it really would change anything...
