Nvm looks like I’ve been “soft match” to a vin and my car is being built tomorrow with an expected delivery of 8/23.

what do you mean by soft match?

I’m tempted to email them to see if they know any extra “info” on my build date. Did they ever answer any questions like that in your experience

Yeah! A week or two ago when my EDD was blank they were able to give me a date range from their end that ended up being semi accurate.

They probably mean that’s it matched to get your car built but it’s not set in stone until the car is produced. Also, didn’t your person tell you the car wouldn’tbe at the dealership until the 20th?

yeah the colorado advisor said that my car wouldn't be at the dealership until the 20th but i guess they either ramped up production at the factory to have my car delivered this week or they "under promised and over delivered". still though, they played with all our feelings when it came to EDD

Ohh okay. That would be cool if it didn’t take 10 days after being built to make it to Utah. Just nice to hear a manufacturing date.

yeah the official "estimate" for it to arrive to utah is like 1-2 weeks, but again, they want to under promise and over deliver. it is nice to hear a manufacturing date for you but i heard it takes 3-5 days for it to be off the assembly line and ready to be shipped out.

Shout out to whoever runs the HP order support email. They've been the most helpful people i've talked to. Switched my order over to financing and let me know I should get a text to schedule a delivery date within 24 hours!

My EDD has been 8/17-9/06 for at least a week now, but no VIN. Ordered 7/5. I keep refreshing that order page like a crazy person waiting for the VIN to show up. Seeing all these people get theirs is making me jealous but excited!

This morning it was 8/17-9/06. Just checked again at 2:00 and it showed a VIN and updated to 8/12-8/18. I knew since I was within a week and it hadn't changed that I had to be due a VIN at any time....

@tleubner if you are expecting the schedule delivery text message within 24 hours, do you expect your car to be ready before Aug 20? I picked my insurance start date as Aug 20, wondering if I have to move it to earlier.

This makes me sad I have a road trip planned on the 26th and I was really hoping I’d have my model 3 by then. Thought 2+ months would be enough time from order to delivery but so far it doesn’t seem like it
