Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

You say that now then in a month they will add the heated windshield wipers, then you hold again then it will be the cooled seats. Then you hold again and it will be the new batteries, and you will just never get the car because they are always adding something new.
Eh, I would argue the Ryzen is a more significant upgrade than literally all of the other changes the model 3 has received since its inception. 4680s might be the next big one, but so far that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.

If you need a car, you need a car. But I totally get why one would want to have the newer computer if they plan on keeping this car a while.

I checked my account 10 minutes ago and found no change since checking an hour ago (or less). Was reading this thread when I got a message alert from Tesla 3 minutes ago saying my VIN was assigned and delivery window went from 1/29-2/6 to 1/29-2/1. VIN is 165xxx. Looking forward to soon being able to plan my life again.
Great. I think this is the highest VIN range I have seen so far.

I would also count the switch from the 12V lead acid battery to the 12V Li-Ion battery. The latter promises to last almost twice as long.

That's 2 for 2 completing profile or coming off hold and getting assigned a car the next day. Waiting to hear delivery timing now, still listed as 1/27-2/5 but I think that hasn't updated since VIN assignment.

Well y’all, Tesla has gone and done it… deliver my M3 that is! Full saga details below for those interested. Found nothing wrong when looking the car over at the delivery center. And, man, blue is the best color. Verified Intel (as SA had told me), but screen is plenty snappy for a new Tesla owner. I’ll pay my penance of pictures tomorrow before I sign off this thread!

Got my first push back today. Adding another data point and crying a little on the inside.

M3LR MSM, Black Interior, Aero 18”, No FSD

OD: 12/14
Initial EDD: March 2022
2nd EDD (12/19) : 1/25 - 2/22
3rd EDD (1/26) : 2/9 - 3/9

I've never placed a hold but I might have to for a short, 8-day period when I'm out of town in Feb. Not sure I will do a hold either, especially if I haven't been given the shorter 14-day window by the time I leave. Just hoping it doesn't push the window even further if I do.

But the only true difference we see is the faster load times in the entertainment apps. Maps and other apps run just fine. On my model y I don't see any lag at all.
I think there will be an announcement today. If what I heard is true. I think they will say everyone who gets delivery after today will have the chip upgraded for free. We will see.
