After being decimated by a delay to Aug-sep during that Apr 20 push, I am back closer to my original edd, now June13-Jul 28.Well that's very promising - hoping I get a similar update this morning!
Definitely. Didn’t want to wreck it. Not used to that much power and speed.Haha yeah definitely not me. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED the car and can’t wait for it, but after locking my neck up I was ready to return it to the dealership haha
Awesome. What was your OD and specs?Woke up to a new EDD so of 5/2 - 5-6 with assigned VIN number. Now we will wait and see how the charge port shortage previously discussed affects the actual delivery date.
That's how FSD expedites delivery!EDD always updates on a Friday for me. I woke up to a two week window this AM!
EDD: 5/16 - 5/30
A little further out on the front end, but tightened up on the back end. Hoping to get a VIN soon and lock in financing before the FED has a chance to make things more expensive for me.
It’s no surprise that I got shifted out to a 14 day window as well.My EDD updated to may 6 - may 20. i dont know why the EDD changed to something like 2 days away. Was getting so close just to go backwards. still 2 week window. Hopefully it changes back again.
Could be worse... I ordered a day before you and got pushed back last week lol. I wish i still had my original EDD at this point. That's how FSD expedites delivery!
Ordered before you.
Same location.
Not even a single update so far.
Well , got a new EDD 05/05 - 05/19 . I'll take it as "good news" for now. Still no VIN.Going into my first day of the delivery range tomorrow 4/29-5-27. Had no updates since my order date 2/12/2022 except for a text 2 days ago asking if I have a trade in car. Crossing my fingers
Right, but we live in the same city and comparing my edd with his edd makes more sense.Could be worse... I ordered a day before you and got pushed back last week lol. I wish i still had my original EDD at this point.

I think I did get the insurance. I don’t remember very well, I think I just got the basic one they offered but I can’t really recall how it workedThinking of renting a Model 3 from Turo. Did you get the insurance when you rented? If so, which did you get?
Oh interesting. I’m picking up at Arden and I also have an EDD of 5/31-7/5. I wonder if they’re trying to lump our cars on the same truckWhere in California are you picking your car up? I'm picking up in the Sacramento area. I order 3/12 and have the same EDD and the same specs as yours.
The thing is though, EVs are selling like hot cakes and aggressively subsidized for most manufacturers. Sure it’s going to take time to scale production, but eventually the big guys will catch up - it’s not like they started from scratch with auto manufacturing. They have the money to spend on attracting talent from Tesla and don’t have to be concerned about demand. Tesla has their own quality control problems and prices their vehicles at levels unaffordable by most. Now if Tesla could provide a car at the 25k price point, that’d be a slightly different story100% agree.
Ford released earnings yesterday and Ford CEO says they will be the #1 EV manufacturer. So how are they going to do that? Well they are AIMING to produce 600k EVs by 2023. Umm, but didn’t tesla just produce over 900k last year, and will continue to scale up massively as berlin and Texas ramp up production?
these competitor CEOs are straight up lying.
and don’t even get me started with GM. ”GM is leading the transition to EVs” proclaimed Biden. Yet GM delivered a WHOPPING 457 EVs last quarter. What a joke.
I sold my car 2 months ago on Carvana and it was an amazing experience . They paid more than I expected and the process was super easy . I had a check in my hand 5 min after the rep came to my house with tow truck.Woke up to a 2 week window but no VIN. Anyone had issues with cancelling their trade in? Or selling with Carvana? They’re offering more to buy my trade in which is over what the sales tax discount would be.
Tesla isn’t demand constrained, they’re supply constrained. And they probably won’t be demand constrained for years to come. Also, Tesla makes EVs differently and much more efficiently than the legacy car manufacturers have ever made vehicles (hence the gross margins that are significantly higher). For example, Tesla made over 70% less vehicles last quarter than GM, but had MORE revenue than GM did last quarter. The thing is though, EVs are selling like hot cakes and aggressively subsidized for most manufacturers.
