Hello all,

I’ve finally arrived at two weeks before my 5-week EDD window; that window has held steady with no changes for 46 days (OD: 3/27, one prior EDD shift, delivery in MD). I’m thinking that sometime in the next week, I’ll either get the two week window or get bumped out into Q3. Thoughts?

On a related note, across several days at the tail end of my 5-week window, I wouldn’t be able to pick up the car. Could someone please remind me what my least worst options are if that’s the case?

Thanks,

Todd
I've read somewhere that you can get someone to take delivery on your behalf, but perhaps it depends on how lenient your delivery specialist is?

Hi,I guess this is my graduation post. Overall it was a nice experience, the people there were very pleasant and everything went quick. The car had the Matrix lights and Ryzen. So that’s nice. The car was not perfect though, small misalignments on the door the charge port and the frunk. Nothing major though, my wif if very good at finding these things, actually there was another couple there picking up the same exact car and asked my wife to look it over, they originally said it looked perfect, but she found problems. LOL.

Car is in the garage charging right now(It was delivered with 90%), but I am so excited. Here are some pics.
Good luck to everybody here still waiting it’s an awesome car.

uploaded my insurance and sent payment
It's too late for Kieran to change anything, but for others, I caution you to not send payment for a vehicle that you have not inspected. Just wait for the car to reach the delivery location, look it over to your satisfaction and THEN pay for it. The money is Tesla's incentive to keep that vehicle moving through the pipe.

Absolutely this. The messaging in the app about paying your remaining balance now to avoid delays in delivery is a little scummy. You can arrange that ACH payment at the delivery so you do not need to pay before hand. It's better to wait and make sure you're satisfied with the vehicle.

Finally, I got my car!
Thanks for all the camaraderie!
I couldn’t have made it through the last days without all the advice, insight, and venting on this forum.
No issues at all with the car that I could find.
Thank you all!

It’s been a tough journey but we’re glad that you both have stopped by and finally got your cars keeping us company while we wait for others. Maybe we’ll see each other again in a few years when we join the waiting saga again for a newer Tesla. Congrats, and enjoy the rides.

Just got my VIN! It came as a text and email at 4:06 PM ET. VIN #266XXX. I'm a little surprised that the EDD is now 6/16-6/20 but I'll take it!
From my SA, "Hello, you can wait closer to your appointment to add the insurance. It shows your vehicle has the new headlights and it was manufactured in Fremont, California."

Got my VIN this morning. 266XXX. Stopped by the dealer to ask some questions and saw one waiting for it’s buyer with a 265XXX VIN which had the matrix headlights. SA said he couldn’t tell me what I’m getting except to say there aren’t any holds on mine to prevent delivery. Sounds like NorCal is about to start seeing some action. What’s the hack to find out if you’re getting the matrix headlights again?

All, just to put my mind at ease. My VIN # is 235 And was manufactured on 4/19 and delivered to a fla SC early may. (Waiting charge port) Zero chance it was a reject since I was assigned the VIN May 3???
Has Ryzen chip, global headlights and Michelin tires. Thanks for comments !!!
Just asking if that VIN is worrisome because seems so long ago compared to the VINs now.

Aero wheels have been standard for LR models in the US since they first went on sale. However, Tesla encourages people to buy the 19s by having that option pre-selected in the configurator.
I’m not sure why Tesla does this. I decided against getting the sport wheels as soon as I saw the impact on range. It’s called Long Range for a reason…

I'm in the same boat as you. My VIN is #2411xx and was manufactured on 4/22. Was told I have the Rizen chip, global headlights, didn't ask about the tires. Got to FLL on 5/11 and is waiting on the charge port. I'm not worried about the lower VIN, just gonna make sure the warranty starts on date of delivery (like every other car).

Also, I hope there isn't something (like dents, scratches, paint problems, etc) that will make me reject the car after all this time waiting for the charge port. I asked if I could go and look a the car and was told it's off site and in a secured area. Someone said they found the off site lot and was able to locate his VIN (also waiting on the charge port). I asked but they never answer with the off site address.

Received a txt that my VIN is ready, uploaded my insurance and sent payment. Window for pick up is May 31-June 3 now.
Almost there............OD 3/5/2022...midnight silver metallic 18' Aero black int no FSD VIN 265xxx
Can you add your OD and EDD progression to your signature so we can follow it? We have basically the same OD!

That was me. I found my exact car, cameras in the lot and I’m sure sentry mode is on all the cars, not worth hanging around the lot.
I pick up Tuesday, will report back. Hoping is 235 because white/black basic M3LR
