Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

That’s what I did when I bought my last car! It was great. Had the cash for the downpayment so might as well get a little reward out of it. 😂 It’s too bad Tesla doesn’t allow it. I was hoping to do it again as well.
Right - I’ve been able to pay my down payment twice using my Amex, at a BMW dealer.

You can use Apple Pay to place your order for the car, but can’t use it to pay the down payment. But I get it, a $250 order fee is a smaller loss and transaction fee versus a down payment that could be tens of thousands

Thanks for sharing! Are you referring to the final down payment? If so, what methods can you use to pay through the app (i.e., credit card, Apple Pay)? Are you required to bring a cashier’s check (instead of personal check) when picking up in person?
Yes, final down payment. The app allows you to pay through their 3rd party affiliate. It is super simple and instantly transfers the funds from your bank account to Tesla. You can do a wire transfer, but that can take a day or so for them to get the money, or you can hand them a cashiers check. They do not accept personal checks or credit cards. I personally decided to pay through their app because I could do it right their on the spot after I could look at the car. Hope that helps.

Nine days after delivery. Gave the car a wash and applied some high tech wax (Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex Wax). Accessories still coming in including the Tesla brand CCS1 adapter and the Tesla Pet Liner. Trying to figure out the best way to manage possible need for summer overheat protection and the potential for excess condensation the cooling system. Really love this car. Finally getting around to posting a photo to the waiting room.
M3LR, white/black/aero, OD 3/9, DD 6/19 Mt Kisco
This ccs1 adapter keeps coming up. Is it really 500+ dollars for one?

Here's one for $280 if you're willing to wait for their expected ship date of "end of August 2022".

Tesla CCS Combo 1 Adapter for USA DC Fast Charging

I have no information on the company itself. Note that Tesla is supposed to have mobile connectors in August as well. Tesplus may be waiting on the same supplier.

Tesla is supposed to have regular old mobile connectors, they have not announced a US release date for CCS adapters.

Whether it was 3 hours or 1 day I wasn't willing to pay before seeing the car. Using the app, i was able to see the car, then transfer the down payment instantly and not have to worry about when the transaction would be completed.
I understand and that’s how I will pay for my car as well. Didn’t mean to imply that a wire transfer was the best option, just that it is an option.

Been lurking here for over 2 months while waiting for my M3LR to be created. ODD 4/8 with the ODD of 7/25-9/5. Then it moved forward to 6/6-7/11 which made me happy. But now since 5/11, the DD is 7/7-8/11 and it has not moved. Probably one of the few people on here who is hoping for delivery later in the range as the new Tucson Service Center is suppose to open up in the middle of July and I would LOVE to not have to find a ride up to Mesa, AZ to take ownership of it.
Anyone know if you can change the delivery location after you order the car?

Where is the new service center going to be? I am also in Tucson and set Mesa as my pickup location.

Yes you can, I did. Just call or text your SA. it could possibly move you EDD but it didn't for me. Once you get a VIN I think your SOL though

Graduated today..
Wish I had discovered this site and forum before but grateful for all of the insight and information this past week.

Picked up from Tysons Corner, Virginia. Based on input from others, arrived 30 minutes early and brought a screwdriver to take my plates off and take a final photo of the odometer from my trade in. (Delivery said I was already their favorite customer). They were finishing up the previous group but my car was out front with my name on it so I inspected the outside while the waiting room cleared out. Immaculate and didn't notice anything obvious.

Paperwork and trade in inside was easy, they let me take a look inside the car while handling the people actually on time and then I accepted delivery.

Car was charged to 52%; I don't have my station installed yet so testing the slow charge.
Asked if I had matrix lights, another customer said "what's that?" I replied I learned about it on this site and it is now important to me lol. Delivery checked in the back and said I had them but I have no clue.
Michelin tires, Mobile charging kit included and thrown in the trunk. Another person picking up said he didn't have one and they went to another car being prepped for delivery (there were a dozen or so) and gave it to him.

Got the black interior because I have a teenage soccer playing son and I already know there isn't a product on this Earth that can protect those white seats. Didn't discover this site so had already ordered the all purpose mats, wheel covers when I take off the aeros, and illuminated door sills direct from Tesla. Appointment for tint and a wrap already set.

Car is quick/fast...My last 3 cars were a Nissan Maxima SR, Jaguar XF, and Charger SRT. I was going 93 in the HOV lane and didn't realize it...with zero stress on how much super premium I was using.

My nitpick stuff...didnt get the Home Link because the principle of paying $325 for something that come with every Toyota Corolla annoyed me. That said, searching for my garage opener is getting old already. I fully get the Waze etc not connected but was shocked no XM option.

Looking forward to learning more from others on here and playing with the car the next few days.
So glad to hear a good report from Tysons! That’s where I will be picking up too! I am very sad about the no XM option, and I’m a big time Waze user but I’m sure I can adjust without it. Someone told me there was a Waze for Tesla thing. Haven’t checked it out yet, but let me know if you do and if it is any good!
Congrats on the new car!

Starting to slowly crack after (compared to some of you lunatics lol) a pretty chill 3 months of waiting. Might start buying accessories soon, currently leaning towards Taptes or 3DMaxSpider mats, a grocery hook for the trunk, an insert for the ridiculously sized cupholders, a center storage space organizer thingy, and maybe some cleaning supplies. Seems like there was a bit of a lull in member activity for end of march orders and beyond. It felt like there were tons and tons of active posters with feb/early march orders, and not so many late march. Best of luck to any other mt kisco folks lurking, I should probably figure out my travel plans from Buffalo sooner rather than later...
I had started to heavily research and refine my accessories and then...I got an EDD update today, now I am just pissed. Don't forget a screen protector unless you really don't want one.
